Always a lover of nature, babies, and animals, I started photographing the world around me as a child.

My interest in photography soared when I went to study in England 20 years ago. Since then, through education and experience, I have made photography my profession. Although starting my career in traditional portraiture in 1990, I have extended my interests and talents into a more modern approach. I love pure candid images in color, black and white, and sepia. My love is black and white, with its timeless appearance.

I have four children, two dogs, two rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, and lots of fish.   My life is filled with photo opportunities!

I photograph everything: pregnant bellies, newborn babies, children and families, high school seniors, pets, weddings, architecture, commercial products, scenery and nature.

My philosophy is that my camera and I are just a unique set of eyes, observing the natural emotions and events that occur within our lives. Capturing the beauty that surrounds us and includes us and turning the image into a piece of art that can be treasured-- that is my pure joy in life.

What makes my work so successful?  I think that getting along with people is a very important part of being a successful photographer.  I am easy-going, and I have patience, oh, do I have patience.  I respect individuality. I thrive on it. I do my best to capture it.  I love noticing the beauty in detail; the petals of a flower, the holding of hands between two people, the lines on a baby's chubby hand, the wonder in the eyes of a two year old as he spies a chipmunk in the yard.

I work strictly on appointment or contract basis. I am willing to travel-- anybody getting married in Hawaii or Europe?  For portrait work, I do in studio, outdoor locations,  in-home appointments, or on location assignments.  For weddings, I have various packages.
